We finally launched the Mini-Server page on our website, which is 1000x better than the Discord server Mini-Server list and this website combined. Therefore, I am discontinuing the server list. If there comes a time where the official Mini-Server list shuts down and I'm still working on the project, I might bring this back. However, that's really 2-3 years down the road from now. Thanks to anyone who actually cared about this. I know this was pretty cool in 2015 during the forum days, so yeah. - Ryno

A lot has happened since the last update. I became a developer for the game, and have helped with the latest update v2.5.0. So now, here are the updates. Two servers are now confirmed dead and have been removed from the list. Two new servers have emerged: Silly's Wonderland and the O.G. Toontown Offline Mini-server. Check the Server List for their IPs. Bill's Hills has changed IPs. Check the server list... All existing servers have upgraded to v2.5.0. Since the new version requires a new launcher, you will need to download it from the official website: http://ttoffline.com/download/ NOTICE: The official website will soon be getting a proper server list that won't need to be manually updated as often, since it will have a backend to check for server uptime, player count, and server version. That's it for now. I hope you enjoy Toontown Offline! - Ryno
I turn 17 today, and what better way to celebrate than to update this list so you have more server choices when you play Toontown Offline. I mean, there are way better ways to celebrate my birthday, I honestly just remembered to update the list. Nevertheless, here's the updates... So Mr. Cheeze decided to stop hosting his server. It was the most popular mini-server up until a few weeks ago, when he closed it due to people resetting the district. So all will remember his server. Two new servers have emerged: Nickdoge's Server and Nocturnal's River. Check the Server List for their IPs. Ryno's Toon Valley has changed IPs. Check the server list... That's it for now. I hope you enjoy Toontown Offline! - Ryno
I finally updated the website again.
I've removed Beta 1 downloads and pulled the current Discord-hosted mini-servers onto the Server List. If you want to host your server, join the Toontown Offline Discord server and talk to Benjamin about it. You must abide by the Server Guidelines, however. I might update the list in the future, but I'm unsure. I always forget about it. - Ryno Apparently Toontown Offline is alive again. And it's not convoluted anymore. It has a launcher (which attempts to update the game everytime it's opened), a new website, and even a Discord server. It's neat.
Since the Discord server is covering me on the server list, I have decided to leave the server list behind. I'm gonna keep the website and all of the server list related pages up, but they'll try to redirect users to the official Discord server. I'm going to start moving people away from Beta 1 as I see it as a convoluted way to set up. Many of you actually came from that video that I made about it. I might make a new video if people still have problems. Discord - https://discord.gg/UgMdBzu - Ryno After a long time with focusing on redistributing Toontown Offline, I decided to go back to the server list portion of the site. I just figured out that all the servers on the list were dead.
So I decided to refresh the list. This means that the list is now empty. I also made some changes to the guidelines on submitting a server to the list. You definitely should check it out if you want to submit a server. If you had a server on the list that was not dead, don't worry. You can resubmit it (unless it's a Hamachi server). I hope this change helps with any confusion in regards to the purpose and future of the site (even if this sentence is confusing). -Ryno The Toontown Offline project has ended. Noooooooooooo
The staff have taken down the website as well as the downloads. Don't freak out just yet. You can still play it. In fact, I've got a download right here... https://www.mediafire.com/?a31apzxt2l1ikmr I would've reuploaded it anyways due to the removal of Mini-Servers in their next release. That release is also called "Cog Gear." The original Toontown Offline also had a canceled release called "Cog Gear" that killed the project for the first time. Cog Gear is a curse. This website will not be going anywhere. It will however be much slower since they also shutdown their website. I'm considering on having a new forum for Toontown Offline that's linked to this site. I wonder if it will actually get people on. UPDATE: I forgot to add the required Panda3D to this post. Whoops. Extract this to your C: drive. https://www.mediafire.com/?jk56lte279urjda UPDATE (1/2/2018): I've decided against the forums idea. There's a Discord server instead: https://discordapp.com/invite/2rp8jtY Thanks to the magic of Virtual Machines, you can play Toontown Offline Beta 1 on your Mac! How? Using a Virtual Machine, of course! Just view the following thread to get your fix on Mac Mini-servers...
http://toontownoffline.com/threads/517-How-to-play-Toontown-Offline-Beta-1-on-Mac If you experience problems, then reply to the thread with your problem. If it involves VirtualBox acting up, then you should just tell the developers of VirtualBox. I actually got around to updating this after 2-3 months. There wasn't a lot to add, so I decided to add an updates tab.
So what's the big news, you may ask? Well, as of Beta 2, the Toontown Offline staff will be removing Mini-Server compatibility. As to why it was removed, the original leader of the project, Logano, has stated: "Mini-Servers cannot be regulated. Due to this, we feel that they have caused more trouble than they are worth, and are an overall detriment to the community." Now why would he say such a thing? Well, you should note that some servers have been attacked by hackers. Due to this, and the fact that you cannot really administrate/moderate these servers, even if they're your own (there's no ban or kick functionality), this would make ultimate sense as to the fact of the removal of the Mini-Server feature. But there's a lighter side to this. As stated by Logano: "the rest of the development team and I are currently discussing the possibility of an official mini-server that will be available to serve a limited number of people at one time in a future release." More info can be found here. With this being said, this will not kill this list. I know many more Mini-Servers will spawn as Beta 1 continues to circulate. Once Beta 1 is taken off of the Downloads list on the official website, who knows? I might put a download link on this website. I feel bad for any Mac users who never got to experience Mini-Servers. They never got a Beta 1 release. -Ryno |
